Our house is surrounded by the majestic Dolomites of Sesto at the beginning of the beautiful »Val Fiscalina« and is thus an ideal starting point for hikes and mountain tours in the surrounding area.
The »Sesto Dolomites Nature Park« is one of the most beautiful hiking areas. Hiking, climbing and cycling are just some of the many ways that you can match this extraordinary landscape.
Even in winter time, our area of vacation is very attractive. Right next to the house there is Val Fiscalina cross-country slope. The 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski area with 115 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes of all difficulty levels are also very close to the house.
Of course there is also the possibility of sledding , ice skating , snowshoeing , romantic horse-drawn carriage rides in the Val Fiscalina and much more.
The Dolomiti di Sesto nature park includes an area of 11,635 hectares, extends in the north east of the Dolomites and includes the localities of Dobbiaco, Sesto and San Candido. The most famous peaks rising in his protected area are the Cima Undici (3,092 m), the Cima Dodici (3,094 m), the Monte Paterno (2,744 m) and of course the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (2,999 m), symbol of the Alta Pusteria and rock formation of worldwide fame. The Sesto Dolomites, characterising the nature park by their bizarre rock formations, are part of the UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site.
